EFM Short Term Missionary
WHEN
Open Enrollment
Is it possible that God has an adventure for you in another country?
Imagine living your entire life without ever hearing that Jesus loves you. In many parts of the world, this is still a reality. EFM is committed to going to these places—places where people face poverty, broken relationships, limited education, social challenges, and deep spiritual needs. Alongside long-term missionaries, EFM is seeking individuals willing to respond to these needs for one to two years.
At EFM, we invite you to broaden your understanding of what it means to be a “missionary.” A missionary is simply someone ready to engage in cross-cultural ministry, using their unique life experiences, professional skills, and personal passions to live out and bring the Kingdom of God to others. Today’s mission work needs people from all walks of life—teachers, business professionals, farmers, healthcare workers, IT specialists, social workers, hospitality workers, and more. What matters most is a heart ready to build genuine relationships. These connections create fertile ground for discipleship to grow.
EFM is actively seeking short-term (1-2 years) and long-term missionaries (3+ years) to serve on missionary teams on new mission fields in Greece, Ecuador, Mexico, Northeast Brazil, the Gulf States, South Sudan, and the Balkans. We also need more workers in current fields like Cambodia, Rwanda, Southeast Asia, Tanzania, and Teaching Abroad opportunities.
EFM will equip and support you every step of the way—through practical training in cultural adaptation, language learning, and relationship-building that leads to disciple-making. You’ll also receive ongoing support, including prayer partnerships, coaching, fundraising assistance, and a personal care team.
